I AM STRONGEST AWARD – 2023

SharonPly honoured the following on the 26th of July 2024 at the Music Academy in Chennai, which coincided with the inauguration of the 2024 Olympics in France.

 

Mr Vasudevan Baskaran: Former field hockey player and coach from Tamil Nadu, who captained the Indian national team to a gold medal at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow.

 

Mr Charles Cornelius: Olympic Medallist and Former Indian Hockey Goalkeeper, who represented the Indian national hockey team in the 1972 Munich Olympic Games (bronze medal).

 

Mr Muneer Sait: Goalkeeper of the Indian hockey team at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, where the team won the bronze medal.

 

Mr Victor John Philips: Olympic Medallist who represented the Indian national hockey team in the 1972 Munich Olympic Games (bronze medal).

 

Mr Krishnamurthy Perumal: A two-time Olympic medallist in field hockey (1968 Mexico & 1972 Munich – bronze medals) and Arjuna Award-winning sportsman for India.

 

The Chief Guest of the event was Dr Justice M. Jaichandren, Former Judge of the High Court of Madras. Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India. Ms Anitha Pauldurai, Padma Shri Awardee in Basketball, Officer on Special Duty Southern Railways, Mr Antony Lobo, Hon. Consul of the Kingdom of Spain and Head of Consulate in Chennai and Mr Krishnamurthy Vijayan, Independent Director of SBI Funds, International (IFSC) Ltd., Chairman, Industry Advisory Council, MIDC Govt. of Meghalaya, Independent Director, Aptus Value Housing Ltd. were the Guests of honour.
